Halloween Fun at The HUB Station Arts Center: A Spook-tacular October
This October, the HUB Station Arts Center in Hudson, NC, embraced the Halloween spirit with events that brought our community together for some frightful fun and family-friendly festivities! From our collaboration with Caldwell County Smart Start’s BOOk Bash to our Haunted Cinema night, the HUB was thrilled to join in creating unforgettable memories for kids, families, and friends throughout Hudson.
BOOk Bash with Caldwell County Smart Start
The HUB Station Arts Center was thrilled to kick off Halloween with Caldwell County Smart Start’s BOOk Bash, held right on our campus! Caldwell County Smart Start, located in the McCreary Family Business Center at the HUB, plays a vital role in early childhood education and family support in our community. With initiatives like their partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, they provide free books each month to children from birth to agefive, fostering a love of reading from an early age. At the BOOk Bash, families enjoyed a festive evening of candy, costumes, and books for all, creating a Halloween event that blended fun with education in the heart of Hudson. More than 400 kids arrived in their Halloween best, collecting candy and books in a safe, fun, and enriching environment.
Haunted Cinema Under the Stars
On October 25th, the HUB Station Arts Center transformed its outdoor space for a special Halloween screening of the classic 1988 movie Beetlejuice. Braving the October chill, more than 75 attendees brought blankets and chairs to enjoy this free, family-friendly movie night under the stars. Guests were treated to fantastic food from the Hellfire Hotwings food truck, while adults savored beverages from our very own 3 Drinks Down craft beer and wine bar. This Haunted Cinema night brought the community together in true Halloween fashion, with laughs, frights, and an unforgettable night of movie magic. Our Haunted Cinema has become a beloved fall event, so mark your calendars for next year’s spooky showing, and join us for a night of Halloween fun right here at the HUB Station!
Downtown Hudson Trick or Treat
Rounding out our Halloween festivities, the HUB Station joined local businesses and organizations on October 31st in Downtown Hudson for the town’s annual trick-or-treat event. Spirits were high as more than 900 children filled the streets, dressed as superheroes, ghosts, fairies, and all sorts of ghoulish characters. The HUB team enjoyed handing out treats and joining the lively crowd, adding to the excitement with over 4,000 pieces of candy given away!
Each of these events reflected the HUB Station Arts Center’s commitment to fostering community connections, supporting local initiatives, and, most importantly, bringing joy to the people of Hudson. We’d like to extend our gratitude to everyone who participated, volunteered, and joined in the fun.
