AUDITIONS – CAMELOT – COMMUNITY THEATER

The Town of Hudson’s Fall Dinner Theatre invites actors, singers, dancers, and community members to audition for Lerner & Loewe’s classic musical, Camelot, at The HUB Station Arts Center.

Auditions will be held:
📍 HUB Station  Auditorium – 145 Cedar Valley Road, Hudson
🗓 Sunday, August 9 at 5:00 PM
🗓 Monday, August 10 at 7:00 PM

🌒 About the Show

Set in the legendary kingdom of Camelot, this beloved musical follows the story of King Arthur, Queen Guenevere, Sir Lancelot, and the Knights of the Round Table. Filled with romance, honor, and unforgettable music, Camelot explores themes of love. loyalty, sacrifice, and the pursuit of an ideal kingdom.

👥 Casting Details

•  Specific roles available for 10 men and 5 women
•  Additional ensemble roles for singers, dancers, knights, ladies-in-waiting, court attendants, and more
•  All roles are open—no precasting
•  Non-traditional casting will be fully considered
•  Opportunities are also available for backstage volunteers, including set construction, costumes, props, technical crew, and musicians

🎶 What to Expect at Auditions

• Those auditioning for leading roles should prepare one of the designated songs from the show:
  • Men: Camelot or If Ever I Would Leave You
  • Women: The Simple Joys of Maidenhood or I Loved You Once in Silence 
• An accompanist will be provided
•  Everyone should be prepared to sing scales for a vocal range check
• Cold readings will be taken from the script
• An optional one-minute prepared monologue is welcome
• Please wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes for movement with the choreographer

🎟 Required Availability

Cast members must be available for all performances:
• October 15, 16, 17, and 18 (matinee)
• October 22, 23, 24
