Led by the talented Patty Palmer Manes, a seasoned art teacher with a wealth of weaving experience, our studio promises an immersive journey into the captivating world of fiber arts. But that’s not all – our studio is adorned with a treasure trove of looms generously donated by the community and meticulously restored to their former glory. These looms, each with its own story to tell, stand ready to weave dreams into reality under Patty’s expert guidance.
We owe a debt of gratitude to Warren Gruber, the master craftsman and 2023 Town of Hudson Man of the Year, who crafted custom loom benches for each loom, ensuring comfort and functionality for our students. Warren’s dedication to his craft shines through in every meticulously crafted bench, creating an environment where creativity can flourish.
And let’s not forget the invaluable support from Valdese Weavers, whose generous donation has stocked our studio with fibers of every hue imaginable. From vibrant blues to earthy greens, our shelves overflow with possibilities, beckoning you to explore and create.
In our weaving classes, you can craft a wide array of beautiful and functional items, from intricate scarves and cozy blankets to elegant table runners and decorative wall hangings. The possibilities are as limitless as your imagination. Once you’ve completed two classes in our studio, you can purchase an open studio pass, granting you access to the studio for independent work. This allows you to continue honing your skills and creating your own unique pieces at your own pace.
