Inspired by the historic Scopes “Monkey Trail”, this compelling courtroom drama explores the clash between tradition and progress as a small town becomes the center of a national debate over freedom of thought.
About the Show
Set in a close-knit Southern community, Inherit the Wind follows a high-profile trail that puts a local schoolteacher—and the right to think freely—on trail. As lawyers, townspeople, religious leaders, and journalists converge, tensions rise and deeply held beliefs are challenged both inside and outside the courtroom. Timely, engaging, and resonant across generations, Inherit the Wind invites audiences to reflect on conviction, tolerance, and the courage to stand up for one’s beliefs.
